The KOOLUX X12 is a folding fat tyre electric bike built around a lightweight aluminium-alloy frame and wide 20×4.0 tyres. The 62-mile figure therefore represents the converted maximum published range rather than a fixed distance for every journey.

The X12 combines 20×4.0 fat tyres with a shock-absorbing front suspension fork. The larger tyre volume provides additional cushioning and surface contact, while the front suspension helps reduce vibration and impacts at the front of the bicycle. The manufacturer also describes the tyres as incorporating puncture-resistant features.

Hydraulic brakes provide braking control, while a Shimano 7-speed drivetrain gives the rider a useful selection of mechanical gears for varying terrain and riding conditions.
